There’s also a director’s commentary from Levine, accessed via new collectables, that is genuinely interesting to listen to. And yet in terms of the remasters it’s the least changed, and is basically just a port of the existing PC version – with a smoother frame rate and 1080p visuals.Īs the most famous and oldest of the trilogy, BioShock has seen a lot more work, with new textures and lighting that almost makes it look like a modern game. The remastered version of the FPS classic doesn't offer much besides improved graphics, director's commentary, and the gallery of concept arts. Having released just before the onset of the new generation, it shows the limitations of the older tech more obviously than the first two games. If we were to decide which version of the game is objectively better by simply looking at what each title has to offer, it would be BioShock Remastered, but only on principle. In many ways BioShock Infinite has aged the worst of all the games. On PC Bioshock Infinite have not been remasted for the PC platform, as long story short the new PS4 and Xbox One version is based on the existing PC version of the game. ![]() Not exactly common subjects for an action video game, but BioShock Infinite has a light enough touch that it rarely feels too preachy.
